Mississippi Flood Diorama located at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library, West Branch, IA. In 1927 the flooding of the lower Mississippi River left 1,500,000 people homeless and destroyed 2,000,000 acres of cropland. Herbert Hoover, as Secretary of Commerce, successfully organized relief operations for the stricken area. The card is in good condition, some dings, aging on the back, with wear on the corners and sides.
