Hi! This is my 1950s A DAY WITH DIANE - A PAPER DOLL BOOK Auction. Most of my collection I purchased in the 70s, 80s, & 90s, but a few more in the early 2000s so even though I'm pretty sure this set is ORIGINAL, I'm not ruling outREPRINT because I'm not an expert, just a collector. However, looking up in a paper doll reference book, it says "1720 A Day with Diane(2764)
". At the beginning of the list, it says "All reprint books listed will carry a number in parenthesis following their titles indicating the original from which the reprint is derived." I'm just quoting what I researched in the paper doll reference book.
1950s A DAY WITH DIANE - A PAPER DOLL BOOK is in UNCUT condition (Pics.1 thru 112), both front and back covers as well as all pages have yellowed-darkened with age (Pics.1 thru 12) and there is a roughness on the edges/corners which are the start of deterioration.
Front Cover - 1 Paper Doll - Diane, overall shopworn from age, a few lines of deterioration near the spine, edges/corners (Pics.1,2,3) on the top left corner it says "1720" (Pics.1,2), on the bottom left is the Saalfield Artcraft Logo (Pics.3,4) and across from that it says "Laura Bischoff" who I believe was the designer/illustrator (Pics.1,3). Inside Front Cover - is blank but yellowed/darkened with age - a bend/crease on the upper left hand corner - another stained crease midway across, another bend/crease midway down on the length-wise edge, as well as a tiny bend/crease on the lower left corner (Pic.5).
Back Cover - 2 Paper Dolls - Peggy and Carol, overall shopworn from age especially around the corners and edges there is a little deterioration (Pics.6,7,8).
Inside Back Cover - is blank but has yellowed/darkened with age - a bend/crease midway towards the right corner (Pic.9). The Spine is holding just fine but there are the beginnings of deterioration (Pics.10,11) especially on the lower spine.
There are 4 pages of uncut outfits (Pics.5,9,11,12) that little girls use to wear in the 1950s.
