Description
Up for sale is a wonderful lot of 7 antique/vintage paper doll sheets that appeared in the Ladies' Home Journal and Pictorial Review in the 1920s. The paper doll sheets have not been cut out, but they have been removed from their original magazines. They range from fairly good to excellent, vintage condition, with some age toning and wear-and-tear, and some having an uneven edge on the side that was attached to the magazine. There is NO musty odor. They come to you from an air-conditioned, non-smoking home. The paper dolls include the following:THE PURITAN TWINS by Jessie Louise Taylor (LHJ 11/22) with some edge tears and tape on back that affect the boy doll's stand
ST. VALENTINE'S DAY IN PUDDING LANE by Gertrude Kay (LHJ 2/23) in very good/excellent condition w/tiny edge tears that do not affect the artwork
MRS. CLAUS AND THE KING OF FRANCE by Gertrude Kay (LHJ 5/23) in excellent condition
LITTLE BO PEEP AND THE DUTCH UNCLE by Gertrude Kay (LHJ 7/23) with some faint folds, edge tears and tape on the back. Only a tiny corner of Uncle's stand is affected by a tear.
LITTLE MISS MUFFET AND TAFFY THE WELSHMAN by Gertrude Kay (LHJ 9/23) in excellent condition
THE GIMMICKS Stand-Ups by Lou Rogers (LHJ 7/24) in excellent condition, with one minor edge tear that does not affect the artwork
