    Description

This is not a reproduction. Mom purchased this from M Popp many years ago. Artwork by Margot Voigt. This book has and had from the beginning only one staple. This usually indicates it is a printer proof or the first one off the printing machine. I don’t have any notes that show that so I can’t be completely sure. During WWII, everyone was patriotic, including the children. I’ve been told children helped by collecting used newspapers and other things that could be recycled and used for the war effort. Children deserved their own paper dolls who looked like they did. Several youth military paper dolls were issued during this time, including Red, White & Blue, Uncle Sam’s Little Helpers,  the Sailor Bob, Soldier Jim, Nurse Nancy, WAAC Joan, WACS Mary and WAVE Patsy series, and many more. “Paper Dolls United We Stand” is a sweet little original and vintage book that would fit into anyone’s collection.
