    Description

    "Pepper Around the Clock Wardrobe", Whitman #4640 was published in 1964.  This is one of about 10 rare sets that Whitman did in an odd shaped box from 1960 to 1965. These were mostly Barbie,Tammy and TV show stars. You can view the boxes I'm talking about by searching "Lucy Paper Dolls 1963" or "Barbie Travel Clothes" with the white front and I have only seen these as a reproduction.  The boxes didn't have lids, they came wrapped in cellophane.  The sets are the punch out type, a heavy cardboard doll and a plastic stand.  ALL of these Whitman #4600 half box series paper dolls are very valuable and highly collectible!!!
    This is a super rare set that took me 3 years to find with a daily search. The doll has a neck crease and is in good condition over all with no other flaws.  The original stand has a crack but is still functional and the doll stands perfectly.  There are 27 pieces of the original 32 fashions and some may have damage or repairs.  As a child, I always put Tammy in the same group as Barbie, making her a neighbor for Barbie's family and friends.
    Please see photos for content and condition. All of the paper dolls that I offer are from estates and from other homes.  I don't know the previous storage history.  My collection is kept in a smoke/pet free area of my home with a dehumidifier running 24/7.  I have a poor sense of smell at my age and am unable to detect odors.  People smoked way back when, so that could linger and I would not be aware of it.  I try and list all of the flaws with any paper dolls that I sell.
